OnlyFans takes 20% of every fan payment, and the creator keeps 80%. The same split applies to subscriptions, paid messages, paid posts and tips. A $10 subscription pays the creator $8. New earnings stay pending for 7 days, and the minimum withdrawal is $20 for most payout methods.
OnlyFans takes 20% of every fan payment. The creator receives the other 80%, and this split is the same for subscriptions, paid messages, paid posts and tips.
We checked these rules in the OnlyFans Terms of Service and Help Center in October 2026. Ranking.bio is an independent creator directory with no link to OnlyFans. OnlyFans can change its rules, so check your Statements page for the current figures on your account.
A creator keeps $8 from every $10 that a fan pays. The table shows the split for common payment amounts.
| Fan payment | OnlyFans fee (20%) | Creator receives (80%) |
|---|---|---|
| $4.99 subscription | $1.00 | $3.99 |
| $9.99 subscription | $2.00 | $7.99 |
| $10 subscription | $2.00 | $8.00 |
| $12 subscription | $2.40 | $9.60 |
| $15 subscription | $3.00 | $12.00 |
| $20 subscription | $4.00 | $16.00 |
| $50 subscription (maximum) | $10.00 | $40.00 |
| $3 tip (minimum) | $0.60 | $2.40 |
| $25 paid message | $5.00 | $20.00 |
| $100 paid post (maximum) | $20.00 | $80.00 |
| $250 bundle (maximum) | $50.00 | $200.00 |
Fee amounts are rounded to the nearest cent. Your Statements page shows the exact amounts. Sales tax is not part of this split. OnlyFans adds any indirect sales tax on top of the fan payment, so the fan pays it, not the creator.
Yes. The OnlyFans Help Center states that creators receive 80% of any fan payment, including subscriptions, paid messages and tips. There is no lower fee for tips.
These are the price limits that OnlyFans sets for each type of payment:
| Payment type | Minimum | Maximum |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly subscription | Free ($0) or $4.99 | $50 |
| Multi-month bundle | Set by the creator | $250 |
| Paid (pay to unlock) message | $3 | $100 |
| Paid (pay to unlock) post | $3 | $100 |
| Tip | $3 | $100 for new fans, $200 after 4 months |
Free accounts pay the same 20% fee on their paid messages and tips. A free account has no subscription income, so these other payments are its main income. Our guide on free vs paid OnlyFans accounts compares the two models.
At the median paid price of $12.00 per month, a creator keeps $9.60 for each subscriber. This median comes from Ranking.bio data (64,466 listed creator profiles, checked 20 October 2026).
Our data also shows these points about live accounts:
Here is a simple monthly example. A creator charges $10 and has 200 subscribers. Fans pay $2,000. OnlyFans keeps $400, and the creator receives $1,600 before tax and bank fees. The same rule works for a mixed month. Suppose a creator earns $1,600 in subscriptions, $900 in paid messages and $500 in tips. Fans pay $3,000 in total. OnlyFans keeps $600, and the creator receives $2,400.
| Income source | Fans pay | OnlyFans keeps | Creator receives |
|---|---|---|---|
| Subscriptions | $1,600 | $320 | $1,280 |
| Paid messages | $900 | $180 | $720 |
| Tips | $500 | $100 | $400 |
| Total | $3,000 | $600 | $2,400 |

OnlyFans moves your earnings to your Current Balance after 7 days. You can then withdraw them once the balance meets the minimum for your payout method.
If more than 10 days pass after a payout shows as processed, OnlyFans asks you to email [email protected] with a copy of your bank statement. For a bank wire outside the US, ask your bank for the Destination Trace ID so that OnlyFans can track the payment.
The payout methods that you can use depend on where you live. Your Statements page shows the minimum payout amount for your method.
Creators in a small number of countries with many reversed transactions have a 21-day pending period. After four months from their first earned transaction, their payouts switch to the normal 7-day rolling basis. OnlyFans does not list these countries in its Help Center.
OnlyFans does not add a separate payout fee to its 20%. Your Current Balance is the exact amount in US dollars that OnlyFans sends to your payout method.
Other costs can still reduce the money that reaches you:
The referral program does not change the creator's 80% share. The referred creator still receives 80% of fan payments.
If you refer a new creator with your referral link, OnlyFans pays you 5% of that creator's earnings for their first 12 months. The maximum is $50,000 per referred creator. There is no limit on how many creators you can refer. OnlyFans pays referral income on the first working day of each month, and it should reach your bank account within 7 business days. If your monthly referral income is below the minimum for your payout method, it rolls over to the next month.
No. The 20% fee is the same as on Fansly, which also gives creators 80%. Our OnlyFans vs Fansly comparison shows the full details.
The 20% rate is also the same for every creator. A new account with 10 fans and a large account with 10,000 fans pay the same percentage. OnlyFans does not publish a lower rate for high earners.
Because the fee is similar, your total income depends more on price, audience and how fans find you. OnlyFans search works mainly by username, so many creators bring fans from outside the platform. Fans can find creators on Ranking.bio with the creator finder and lists such as the best OnlyFans accounts. To open a creator account, you must first pass identity checks. Our OnlyFans verification guide explains the steps.

New earnings stay in the Pending Balance for 7 days. In a small number of countries with many reversed payments, the hold is 21 days for the first four months.
OnlyFans says payouts should arrive within 3 to 5 business days. In some cases, a payout takes up to 10 business days.
No. The 20% fee comes out of the creator's share of each payment. Fans pay the price that the creator sets, plus any sales tax that applies where they live.
OnlyFans does not publish any lower fee option. Its terms state the fee as 20% of the total fan payment.
